Hemmet is a small town in the Ringkøbing-Skjern municipality, near the west coast of Jutland in Denmark. The reconstructed Bork Viking Harbour, located in Hemmet, offers the visitors to travel 1000 years back in time, meeting the Vikings, experiencing their life and work, seeing exhibitions and films. Each year the Bork Viking Market hosts about 300 Vikings camping and offering to the audience a unique experience of living history, attracting yearly over 7500 visitors. Bork Viking Market is a chance to travel back in time and discover how the Vikings lived. There are many leisure and educational activities provided both for children and adults, like a warrior school or Viking jewellery workshops. The displays of historical dresses, the restaging of ancient traditions and rituals, like for example the funeral of a fallen warrior, as well as combat and battle reenactment complete the idea of the daily life during the Viking Age.
