Dacians were the ancient inhabitants of Dacia, located in the area in and around the Carpathian Mountains and west of the Black Sea. The battle reenactment aims to reconstruct a clash occurred during the Dacian Wars (101-102 AD, and 105-106 AD) were two military campaigns fought between the Roman Empire and Dacia during the rule of Emperor Trajan (98-117 AD). The conflicts were triggered by the constant Dacian threat on the Danubian Roman Province of Moesia and also by the increasing need for resources of the economy of the Roman Empire.
