Jerusalem Knights in the Old City
Next edition dates to be announced (the event was last held in 2014)
The holy city of Jerusalem, located in the Judean Mountains, between the Mediterranean Sea and the northern edge of the Dead Sea, invites the visitors to experience the medieval celebration of Jerusalem Knights in the wondrous autumn of Jerusalem's Old City, the walled area that constituted the entire ancient city of Jerusalem until 1860.
Dozens of musicians and dancers, magicians and soothsayers, knights, princesses, artisans, troubadours, court jesters and peddlers from ancient times return to the picturesque streets within the stone walls and among quaint mysterious locations in the Christian Quarter. Together they create a moving and magical experience during the twilight and evening hours of four autumn Thursdays. The public is encouraged to enter the ancient world, meet typical characters from the past, delight in faraway sounds, enjoy dance performances, acrobatics and theater, as well as take part in various master-classes, contests and competitions, all in the special atmosphere among the walls of the Old City of Jerusalem.
